As a leading Swiss wholesaler for pet supplies, the company set out to rethink its logistics centres: highly automated, intelligent, and scalable. At the heart of the vision was an advanced high-bay warehouse where robots, drones and smart scanners would work hand in hand. The tricky part: systems like this only work if the technical infrastructure on site is strong enough.
As its technology partner, Netrics therefore designed and deployed a high-performance Edge Cloud infrastructure operated directly on-site. To ensure that the precision scanners also work reliably in every storage area, a stable, comprehensive Wi-Fi solution was implemented in addition. For end-to-end processes from warehouse to back office, BusinessCom also moved its ERP system into the Netrics Private Cloud – seamlessly integrated with the Edge environment. The setup was completed by a modern digital workplace from the Public Cloud.
The result: a continuous logistics flow – orchestrated, monitored, and secured across three cloud environments, perfectly aligned.
